Cosmopolitanism in China, 1600–1950

It has been quite a journey from planning the international conference to the final publication of the multi-authored volume with the same name in 2016. The most interesting aspect of this process is to learn about multiple takes on cosmopolitanism (including opposition and dismissal) in China and struggle to come up with a coherent volume. My gratitude to Johan Elverskog and Stephen Roddy for their contributions and hard work in finishing the book!
